On all Hallow’s Eve, I gathered some boys and ghouls for a fun evening full of spooky snacks and lots of treats (with only a few tricks).

Halloween has always been a fun evening full of dress-up, mass amounts of chocolate, and just a little bit of chill in the air that sends tingling sensations up the back of your neck. I didn’t have a full appreciation for Halloween until I started to enter High School and began catching up on classic Halloween films. Shockingly, spooky films don’t look like horror flicks for me. When I create a Halloween film lineup, the top earners are movies like Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
Although I may be a bit of a wimp when it comes to scary frights, I am definitely able to hold my own when it comes to planning a fun Halloween event! This year I wanted to have just a small event with some close friends at my home. I didn’t want to plan anything too elaborate and also wanted people to feel comfortable since Halloween fell on a Sunday night and we had class the next morning!

The main event of the evening involved a char-BOO-terie board that I created on our kitchen table. We also played a variety of board games and took some photos of ourselves in costumes. (But who cares about photos or games when there are apple cider donuts on the charcuterie boards!!)
Something worth noting is that an event doesn’t always have to be extravagant! The party that I hosted was life-giving for me and my friends. We got to hit pause on the craziness going on in the world and instead laugh at ourselves and bond over silly Quiplash answers. Sometimes the most meaningful events I have participated in have been small, intimate moments that showed me that I am loved.

Although planning large events is always fun, I also would love to assist you with planning smaller events. I can work with you to figure out how to make your event really shine and make sure that I am covering all the details while you get to connect with the people you want to connect with.
If you are interested in working with me, please let me know! Feel free to contact me for more info.
